IMPORTANCE OF VITAMIN D IN THE BODY

Human body system require nutrients either derived from foods or as a supplement for its functionality. There are numerous nutrients required by the body of which many play silent role in the system. Of the nutrients our bodies require for health, vitamin D is unique. Here are foods with sufficient Vitamin D:

Fish, Cheese, Beef liver, Eggs and fortified cereals. Human bodies also manufacture vitamin D from sunlight.

Few of the numerous functions of Vitamin D are:

Vitamin D helps us absorb and metabolize calcium and phosphorous,

It keep our bones healthy and regulate the immune system.

There have also been suggestions that it keeps the brain working later in life,

and reduces the risk of many diseases such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and cancer.
