5 HEALTHY WAYS TO NOURISH YOUR SKIN
1. Eat antioxidant-rich foods. Antioxidants offset the free radical damage we are all exposed to in our day-to-day lives. If your diet lacks fresh fruit and vegetables, your skin will be lacking in antioxidants and important phytonutrients.
2. Aim to include two servings of fruit and five servings of vegetables in your diet every day; especially highly antioxidant foods like red and yellow capsicum, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, berries, broccoli and leafy green vegetables. Green tea is full of antioxidants too, as is ginger, lemongrass and cinnamon herb teas, which are very tasty chilled over ice!
3. Get more vitamin C. Among other functions, vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that helps protect the body against free radical damage. It also plays a big role in tissue repair, the production of collagen, and maintaining the health of capillaries.
Make sure you include citrus fruit and other sources of vitamin C in your diet, such as kiwifruit, lemon and capsicum. Research suggests that women who consume regular quantities of vitamin C are less prone than others to develop wrinkles and skin dryness that often accompanies ageing.
4. Seek ‘smart’ fats. If you’re ready to boost your skin’s appearance, opt for smart fats. Smart fats are found in a number of nutritional fresh foods that contain omega-3, such as salmon, sardines and mackerel. The protein component of fish may also support your complexion.
On your next visit to the supermarket look out for flaxseed oil, nuts and seeds, olive oil and avocados too. These types of fats are rich in linoleic acid, which may help improve the visual appearance and softness of the skin. Research indicates that consuming high levels of linoleic acid may help prevent age-related skin dryness, thinning and fine lines. For a radiant glowing complexion, avoid deep fried and processed foods, which may contain ‘trans fats’ that contribute to the body’s free radical load. Whenever possible, minimise your intake of saturated fats found in meat and other animal products.
5. Dose up on zinc. Zinc is known to support the skin’s health in a variety of ways, including assisting with the formation of new collagen. Pumpkin seeds and oysters are rich in sources of zinc.

4 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT WATER
Water is known scientifically as universal solvent. It plays a keen role in our daily life activities and also in plants. To know how important it is in our body we may decide not to eat for hours, days or even weeks but we can never stay such long without water.
Water helps to maintain and regulate body temperature. This is the reason why we take a shower after working/walking in heavy sunlight.
In biological view, water play important role as it help in digestion and transportation of nutrients round the body (note that water constitute the larger percentage of body fluid while cellular components constitute little).
It also help in detoxification of harmful substances in the body which are either released as urine or sweat.
We must also know that water helps to lubricate the joints, stomach and the intestine. The main reason why we drink water before food after long fast is to keep the stomach relaxed and lubricated to prevent shrinking. Drinking pure water is essential for healthy living.

HOW TO CARE FOR HIV PATIENTS
There are many diseases that can kill within short period of time even within some minutes but people don't actually take them serious. I have been written about HIV because i observe that the way people perceive it is the major cause of death of infected individuals. while disease like MALARIA and HEPATITIS are much more deadly than HIV people don't actually care much about it. Caring for HIV patients will make them live longer, healthier and happier just like the way they were before the infection.
Talk with them the normal way you did before they got infected. This is a great way to show them that you are not distracted from them.
Play with them and gist together. This make them happy the more and feel normal just as they should be.
Go out together and eat together. By walking together with you they feel that their is freedom for them and that make them think less about their status.
Doing this will make them live the normal life they dreamed but, above all, be cautious and avoid blood contact of any means.

HOW HIV CAN NOT BE CONTACTED
In my last post i promised to say something about the ways by which HIV can not be contacted. Ever since the awareness of the transmission of the virus from one infected person to the other people have been extra cautious on their relationship with HIV patients. The major cause of death of HIV patient as i wrote in my previous blog is not actually the virus itself but the way the patient handle itself and the interrelationship with other people. So many fear grip people living around HIV patient as regard to the means of contact. Listed below are some means by which HIV can not be contacted;
HIV can not be contacted via kissing except for the fear of mouth sore which can lead to blood contact.
It can not be contacted by using the same toilet and bathroom
It can not be contacted by sleeping on the same bed with infected people
Eaten in the same plate with HIV patient can not lead to being infected with the virus
It can not be contacted by drinking from the same cup
Using the same tooth brush can not lead to being infected but this is not advisable
Shaking of hands with infected people can not transmit the virus.
ABOVE ALL PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

4 MEANS OF HIV TRANSMISSION
Hello,it's not long i blogged on HIV but actually it was just awareness and how to leave healthy even with the virus. Many people are still doubting about the possible means of contacting the virus. Here are the major means of transmission:
1. Since the virus is transmitted by blood then it can be contacted by sharing of sharp object (like blade) with infected people.
2. It can be contacted during sexual intercourse ATTENTION should be drawn to this point because some people believe that transmission by this means is mainly by copulation and because of that they engage in oral sex. HIV can be contacted through this means (oral sex) especially among lesbians.
3. It can be contacted by blood transfusion and careless handling of infectious specimen (blood) in the laboratory.
4. It can also be contacted from beauty salon but more explanation on that is pending till next publication.
Next talk will be on the means through which it can not be contacted.
